Ketan
Mehta's
dream
project
which
finally
saw
the
light
of
day
has
been
beautifully
filmed
and
is
breath-taking
as
an
art
cinema.
Those
of
you
who
would
value
a
good
story
will
definitely
like
Rang
Rasiya.
The
fact
that
the
team
was
a
little
late
in
promoting
the
film
has
affected
it
in
a
very
bad
way
though.
The
film
managed
to
collect
only
Rs
60
lakhs
on
the
opening
day
where
as
The
Shaukeens
which
released
on
the
same
day
and
is
no
good
compared
to
Rang
Rasiya
managed
to
rake
in
Rs
5
crores
all
because
of
it's
good
promotional
strategies.
The
film
opened
to
just
5%
occupancy.
Even
the
screen
count
of
The
Shaukeens
was
far
greater
Rang
Rasiya's
screen
count,
the
latter
released
in
900
screens.
Even
on
the
second
day
of
the
release,
Saturday
collections
of
Rang
Rasiya
was
just
Rs
75
lakhs.
A
very
small
growth
was
seen
on
the
second
day
but
thanks
to
the
good
word
of
mouth
promotion,
the
film
managed
to
garner
more
attention
on
Sunday
and
therefore
managed
to
rake
in
Rs
1
crore.
So
the
three
days
total
collections
results
in
Rs
2.35
crores.
If
you
compare
this
with
the
making
cost,
it
is
very
less
but
seeing
the
improvement
in
Sunday's
collection
and
hopefully
with
some
more
word
of
mouth
promotions
the
film's
collections
at
the
Box
Office
may
slowly
increase
but
the
movie
has
just
one
week
to
recover
it's
making
cost
for
on
November
14th;
Ranveer
Singh,
Parineeti
Chopra,
Govinda
and
Ali
Zafar's
Kill
Dil
is
releasing.
