Happy Ending starring Saif Ali Khan and Ileana D'Cruz continues to do just average at the Indian Box Office. The film's Box Office collections picked up on day two and three, Saturday and Sunday respectively but by a very unimpressive small margin.

On Friday, the opening day collections were just Rs 4 crores, on the second day, Saturday the film managed to improve a little and grossed about Rs 5 crores at the domestic market. Sunday being the weekend off saw more crowd in theatres and the occupancy rate spike up to 50%.

The film which was aimed towards the audiences in metropolitan cities like Mumbai, Bangalore, Pune, Kolkata and Delhi, failed to impress the audiences. In Bangalore especially the native language, Kannada films fared better than a Bollywood film, Happy Ending, which usually doesn't happen. In spite of star appearances like Kareena Kapoor and Preity Zinta, the film has failed to impress the audiences.

The good reviews have too din't help to create a good word of mouth promotions, there by failing to increase foot-halls in multiplex theatres. Saif not being of Shahrukh or Salman Khan stature too has affected the business but he is at least a bigger star than Shahid Kapoor or Ranvir Singh but still Happy Ending has not been able to cross the first weekend collection of Haider or Kill Dil respectively.

Both Haider and Kill Dil had collected approximately Rs 20 crores in first three days where as Happy Ending has not. On Sunday, the film has managed to collect only Rs 5-6 crores bringing the overall first weekend Box Office collection to Rs 14-15 crores.

The film directed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK, is said to be a spoof of romantic comedy entertainers and has an open run at Box Office for just one week till Emraan Hashmi's Ungli releases on November 28th.
