Chennai Express, Krrish 3 and Dhoom 3, which are the biggest money spinners of 2013, have erased almost all old records at the Box Office and set new benchmarks for the upcoming big budget Bollywood movies. Now, all eyes are set on Salman Khan's highly-awaited movie Jai Ho, which happens to be the first big release of the year 2014. Having slated to release on January 24, this movie is expected to break all these collection records at the Indian and overseas Box Office.
Jai Ho is a remake of Chiranjeevi's 2006 hit Telugu action drama Stalin, which was loosely inspired by the Hollywood movie Pay It Forward. Beside becoming a big hit at the AP Box Office, this Telugu movie, which deals with the theme of social justice, has also garnered critical acclaim. The story is all about Major Jai Agnihotri, who creates a nation-wide movement by convincing people to do a good deed for three people, who must in turn each do good deeds for three other people.
Directed by Sohail Khan, Jai Ho features Salman Khan, Daisy Shah, Sana Khan and Suniel Shetty in lead roles. The movie has been creating positive buzz, ever since it was announced. Its promos have multiplied the viewers' expectations. In addition, the makers have done lot of promotion for the film.
Superstar Salman Khan has been smashing all collection records every year with his last releases like Ready, Bodyguard, Dabangg, Ek Tha Tiger and Dabangg 2. But the records before his latest outing Jai Ho are to not so easy to be broken. First in its failure list is that Dhoom 3 had released in 4500 screens in the domestic market, but Jai Ho is set to release in 4400 screens in India.
