Bollywood
movie

Side
Effects
(SKSE)
has
got
good
opening
and
registered
decent
collection
at
the
Indian
Box
Office
in
the
first
weekend.
The
Farhan
Akhtar
and
Vidya
Balan
starrer
has
topped
the
domestic
business
chart,
pushing
last
week's
release
Highway
and
Gunday
down
to
the
second
and
third
places
respectively.
But
it
has
failed
to
break
the
opening
weekend
record
of
Farhan's
last
release
Bhaag
Milkha
Bhaag.
Riding
on
the
huge
hype
and
expectations,
Shaadi
Ke
Side
Effects
opened
to
a
superb
response
at
the
multiplexes
in
metros.
But
when
compared
to
plexes,
the
movie
registered
low
amount
of
occupancy
in
the
single
screens.
The
Saket
Chaudhary-directed
flick
witnessed
big
leaps
in
its
business
on
Saturday
and
Sunday
in
plexes,
but
its
collection
remained
almost
the
same
in
single
screens
over
the
weekend.
Shaadi
Ke
Side
Effects
has
collected
Rs
21.26
crores

the
first

Its

cr
on
Sat
and
Rs
8.01
cr
on
Sun.
The
movie,
which
has
been
made
on
a
budget
of
Rs
20+
crores,
has
recovered
its
production
cost
in
three
days.
Bhaag
Milkha
Bhaag
happens
to
be
the
biggest
opener
and
highest
grosser
in
the
first
weekend
for
Farhan
Akhtar.
The
movie
had
collected
Rs
32.35
crores
nett
(Rs
1.05
cr
in
Thu
preview,
Rs
8.50

cr
in
Sat,

12.80
cr
in
Sun)
at
the
Indian
Box

in
its
opening
weekend.
Farhan's
latest
outing
Shaadi
Ke
Side
Effects
was
expected
to
break
this
record,
but
it
has
failed
to
do
so.
