Yeh Hai Bakrapur 4 Days Collection At Box Office

Janaki Vishwanathan's directorial venture Yeh Hai Bakrapur (YHB), which created lots of excitement among movie goers prior its release, has received rave reviews for its unique storyline. This shoe-string budget movie has done decent collection at the Indian Box Office in four days and landed in the fourth place in the domestic chart. It is expected to recover its production cost by the end of its opening week.

Prior its release, the makers of Yeh Hai Bakrapur had done lot of promotion for the film, which was expected to open with a bang at the ticket counters, but it had a slow start. The movie did not show the much-needed leap on the following days. It has collected Rs 2.25 crores nett at the Indian Box Office in four days. Its breakup is Rs 0.70 cr on Fri, Rs 0.55 cr on Sat, Rs 1 cr on Sun and Rs 0.47 cr on Mon.

Yeh Hai Bakrapur is the story of the Qureshi family and their pet goat Shahrukh, who acquires rockstar status in his village and beyond. Written and directed by Janaki Vishwanathan, the film was screened at the 37th Goteborg International Film Festival, where it has received critical acclaim from everyone. The figures show that audience are also interested in independent cinema and are willing to give it a chance by flocking to the theatres. It is expected to collect Rs 4 crores nett at the Box Office in first week.
