Bajirao Mastani First Weekend (3 Days) Box Office Collection: UNSTOPPABLE

Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone's film Bajirao Mastani has got positive response from critics and the audience alike. Despite facing a major clash from Shahrukh Khan's Dilwale, Bajirao Mastani has shown a steep rise in its collection at the box office.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali took almost 12 years to make Bajirao Mastani and it seems that his hard work has finally paid off. His film collected Rs 12.80 Crores on its first Friday, on its second day it earned Rs 15.52 Crores at the Indian box office. The collection of Sunday was Rs 18.45 Crores.

Taking about Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum opus, trade analyst Taran Adarsh wrote on microblogging site Twitter, '' #BajiraoMastani is UNSTOPPABLE. SUPER word of mouth translates into SUPER biz. Fri 12.80 cr, Sat 15.52 cr, Sun 18.45 cr. Total: ₹ 46.77 cr.''

He added, ''#Dilwale + #BajiraoMastani *COMBINED* business:- Fri 33.80 cr, Sat 35.61 cr, Sun 42.45 cr. COMBINED total: ₹ 111.86 cr. India biz.''

''Silver lining: Both #Dilwale and #BajiraoMastani liked by moviegoers. Multiple holidays ahead + no major Hindi film till 8 Jan advantageous,'' Taran Adarsh tweeted.

The positive word of mouth is helping Bajirao Mastani a lot in getting good business. Both Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone are getting praises from every corner for their amazing performances in the movie.

Unfortunately, the film even became the target of Shiv Sena, who asked for a temporary ban on Sanjay Leela Bhansali's film. Many shows in Pune, got cancelled because of this protest. Bajirao Mastani also came under fire by angry descendants of Peshwa Bajirao and Mastani, who objected on the wrong portrayal of the History.

However, the viewers loved the way Sanjay Leela Bhansali portrayed his characters in Bajirao Mastani.
