Bajirao Mastani Box Office Prediction: Will It Beat Shahrukh Khan's Dilwale's Collections?

Bajirao Mastani starring Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Priyanka Chopra will hit the screens tomorrow (18th December) along with Shahrukh Khan and Kajol's Dilwale. This is one of the biggest clashes in the history of Bollywood and because of it both the movies have created a lot of hype and buzz among the audiences. But the big question is, would Bajirao Mastani be able to cross Dilwale's box office collections?

According to initial reports, Bajirao Mastani will release in 2,200 screens in India and in the overseas market, Bajirao Mastani would be released in 850+ theatres. Trade Analyst Tarun Adarsh tweeted as, "Eros goes HUGE with #BajiraoMastani Overseas, releasing in over 850 screens, bigger than their last blockbuster #BajrangiBhaijaan [800+]".

Which means that the extra number of screens in the overseas market, would help Bajirao Mastani get additional revenue into its kitty and boost up its fight against Dilwale.

Coming back to India, Bajirao Mastani's advance booking has led to almost, sold out shows in the weekend, thereby promising a good start to the movie. However, trade experts believe that both Bajirao Mastani and Dilwale will be huge hits. Talking about the same Trade analyst, Akshaye Rathi told a leading website, "I can see a Gadar-Lagaan kind of a scenario here as both the film have a phenomenal buzz around them. They look like huge hits to me.''

As per experts', Deepika Padukone's Bajirao Mastani will earn somewhere between 13-20 Crores while Shahrukh Khan's Dilwale's collections will be around 25-27 Crores on its first day. As far as weekend is concerned, Rohit Shetty's film can easily collect 90-100 Crores or more while Bajirao Mastani's collections may be around 65-70 Crores.

Recently, Sanjay Leela Bhansali organised a special screening of Bajirao Mastani for his family and close friends and those who have watched the movie are saying that it will be a huge blockbuster as it is Sanjay's best work till date.

Also Eros Now (Production house) has given many good films this year like Badlapur, Tanu Weds Manu Returns, NH10 and Bajrangi Bhaijaan so it is expected that even their latest release, Bajirao Mastani will rock the box office.
