Talking about Dilwale's box office collection, trade analyst Taran Adarsh wrote on Twitter, ''#Dilwale biz zooms upwards on Sunday... Most centres have opened... Family audience pouring in large numbers... ₹ 65 cr +/- weekend expected .#Dilwale Fri 21 cr, Sat 20.09 cr, Sun 24 cr. Total: ₹ 65.09 cr. India biz. Good growth on Sunday.''
Not just in India, this Shahrukh Khan starrer performed really well in the overseas market also, the film collected Rs 22.61 Crores on its very first Friday. ''#Dilwale opens to IMPRESSIVE numbers Overseas. Fri total: $ 3.4 million [₹ 22.61 cr]. SUPER! #Dilwale Overseas weekend total: $ 8.5 million [₹ 56.38 cr]. EXCELLENT!,'' Taran Adarsh wrote.
Dilwale which has been shot in Bulgaria, USA and Ramoji, Film City, Hyderabad, has been made on a budget of Rs 120 Crores. The movie received mixed reviews from the critics, but that did not stop Shahrukh Khan's fans to watch the movie. And with no other release till January 8, 2016 it is expected that Dilwale will keep minting moolah at the box-office.
