On the opening day, Friday, the film grossed about Rs 13.05
crores, the fact that it was a public holiday worked in the favour
of the film. Saturday collections saw a drop with Rs 11.36 crores.
Sunday being the weekend off for all, saw rise in collections,
resulting in Rs 15 crores.
Already the movie had made a name as the biggest opener of 2015,
after the first weekend collection tally came to Rs 39.41 crores,
it made a name there as well! Gabbar Is Back grossed the
highest first weekend collection in 2015 as well.
All this was possible with good word of mouth promotions!
According to trade experts Monday collections was not supposed to
fall beyond Rs 10 crores, but sadly it being the first working day
of the week, saw a huge dip with just Rs 6.75 crores
This brought the total four days tally to Rs 46.16 crores. Trade
experts have predicted Tuesday collections to be at least Rs
4-5 crores making the total Box Office collection at the end of
five days cross Rs 50 crores.
