Hero Tuesday (5 Days) Box Office Collection: Steep Fall
Salman Khan's Hero movie has fared well for a debutante cast but will it be a hit and will it cross Rs 100 crores, the answer is a no!
The film opened with Rs 6.85 crores on Friday, which is the highest amount any newcomer's film has obtained this year. Sooraj Pancholi and Athiya Shetty are debuting in Bollywood with this movie and it was purely due to the backing of Salman that their movie managed to garner such high amount.
Second day, Saturday saw a dip in collections but the first weekend collections turned out to be a little decent considering Hero movie grossed Rs 7.63 crores on Sunday. The real test of the movie fell on Monday, where the Hero Box Office grossed Rs 3.03 crores but the very next day, it took a steep fall with Rs 2.45 crores.
Taran Adarsh reported, "#Hero registers a sharp decline on Tue. Fri 6.85 cr, Sat 6.62 cr, Sun 7.63 cr, Mon 3.03 cr, Tue 2.45 cr. Total: ₹ 26.58 cr. India biz." The movie was made on a budget of Rs 27-28 crores, this means that by the end of the week, the producers will meet the break even point and recover the cost of making the movie but the profits will not be that great.
