The
movie
Piku
starring
Deepika
Padukone,
Amitabh
Bachchan
and
Irrfan
Khan
has
released
today.
Although,
Piku
received
positive
responses
from
most
of
the
critics,
the
big
question
now
is
whether
it
would
have
similar
responses
at
the
Box
Office
as
well.
Piku
has
been
a
much
awaited
flick,
both
for
the
superb
star
cast
as
well
as
Shoojit
Sircar's
direction.
As
reported,
Deepika
Padukone's
Piku
opened
up
in
around
1300
screens
and
there
was
considerable
hype
regarding
the
film.
On
the
other
side,
Sunny
Leone
and
Ram
Kapoor
starrer
Kuch
Kuch
Locha
Hai
has
also
released
with
Piku,
but
the
latter
is
expected
to
overtake
KKLH
by
big
margin
for
obvious
reasons.
Piku
is
likely
to
attract
audience
mostly
from
the
multiplexes
and
hence,
expected
occupancy
is
around
35-45
percent.
Also
to
be
mentioned,
Akshay
Kumar's
Gabbar
Is
Back
had
a
wonderful
first
day
business
at
the
Box
Office
and
it
is
likely
to
affect
Piku's
Box
Office
collection,
at
least
on
the
first
day.
Having
said
all
these,
the
movie
Piku
is
expected
to
make
a
Box
Office
collection
of
Rs
4-5
crores
at
the
domestic
market
on
its
opening
day.
