Ghayal Once Again First Day (Opening) Box Office Collection: Rs 7.20 Crores!

Ghayal Once Again clashed with Sanam Teri Kasam at the Box Office! Both films were severly criticised thereby not posing as competition to each other but sadly Sunny Deol's movie opened decently on the opening day at the Indian Box Office.

The film was a sequel to the 1990's hit movie Ghayal which starred Sunny Deol as Ajay Mehra. The film had a great concept but unfortunately it was not well executed and that brought the whole movie down.

Having said that, Sunny Deol's fans will surely enjoy this movie for this 56 year old actor does some amazing action and of course they love the climax scene of the movie which solely belonged to Sunny's "Dhai Kilo Ka Haath".

This Sunny Deol directorial got a wide release in around 2500-2600 cinemas but it fared better in single screens as compared to multiplexes.

The films target audience is the rural circuit and it fared quite well there, owing to which the film managed to mint Rs 7.30 crores on the first day. Taran Adarsh reported, "#GhayalOnceAgain Fri ₹ 7.20 cr. India biz."

With word of mouth publicity, the film will get a bigger jump in its first weekend collection. At this rate it will easily cross Rs 25 crores by the end of first weekend.

Sanam Teri Kasam on the other hand has managed to make a collection of just Rs 1 crore on day one and it needs a major push in order to make some decent collections.

Meanwhile Akshay Kumar's Airlift is minting more and more money with each passing day. Taran Adarsh reported the collections of the movie, "#Airlift [Week 2] Fri 4.50 cr, Sat 6.50 cr, Sun 8.26 cr, Mon 2.53 cr, Tue 2.61 cr, Wed 2.40 cr, Thu 1.99 cr. Total: ₹ 112.29 cr. India biz."
