MS Dhoni - The Untold Story Box Office Collection Is PHENOMENAL: Earns Rs 88.63 Crores In 6 Days


MS Dhoni - The Untold Story is a blockbuster in the true sense! The movie starring Sushant Singh Rajput has now entered its sixth day and even after that, the movie continues to rule the box office. The biopic made on the life of cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni has earned a total of Rs 88.63 Crores till now. And it is expected that this Sushant Singh starrer will enter Bollywood's prestigious Rs 100 Crores club very soon.

Talking about the same, Trade analyst Taran Adarsh wrote on micro blogging site Twitter, "#MSDhoniTheUntoldStory Fri 21.3 cr, Sat 20.6 cr, Sun 24.1 cr, Mon 8.51 cr, Tue 7.52 cr, Wed 6.6 cr. Total: ₹ 88.63 cr [Hindi+Tamil+Telugu]."

Second Highest Opener After Salman Khan's Sultan

Sushant Singh Rajput's MS Dhoni - The Untold Story is the second highest opener of 2016 by earning Rs 21.30 cr on its very first Friday. Salman Khan's Sultan is the first highest opener of the year.

Shahrukh Khan‘s Fan collected around 19.20 cr on the first day of its release, while Akshay Kumar's Housefull 3 collected around Rs 15.21 cr and Rustom earned Rs 14.11 cr.

The Sushant Singh starrer collected Rs 66 cr in its first weekend. On the other hand, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag had earned Rs 32.08 cr, Mary Kom had collected Rs 28 cr and Neerja Rs 22.01 cr.

Many trade experts are claiming that MS Dhoni - The Untold Story will collect 100 Crores at the box office very easily. The movie has got good reviews from the critics and the word of mouth publicity is also helping the movie a lot.

Apart from Sushant Singh Rajput, MS Dhoni - The Untold Story also stars Disha Patani, Kiara Advani and Anupam Kher in the leading roles.

MS Dhoni - The Untold Story earned Rs 8.51 Crores on Monday and on Tuesday it collected Rs 7.52 Crores at the Indian box office. However, on Friday (7th October) two more movies are releasing, Mirzya and Tutak Tutak Tutiya, which can give the biopic a tough competition.

The fans have greeted the biopic of MS Dhoni with open hearts. Talking about the movie, director Neeraj Pandey told a leading daily, ''The offer came to me from our co-producer, Inspired Entertainment. We decided if we find a good story after the research then we would take a final call. After a number of meetings with Dhoni in 2014, we decided to go ahead with the project.''

"The first meeting was in Delhi, in between a cricket match, more than two years ago. I was pretty certain about the process - Dhoni and I will have one-to-one meetings and he would open up about certain aspects of his life even though those might not be included in the film. I have written it along with Dilip Jha," said Neeraj.
