Ranbir
Kapoor
has
been
all
over
the
headlines
these
days
courtesy
of
his
recent
release
Animal.
The
Sandeep
Reddy
Vanga
directorial
has
been
one
of
the
biggest
releases
of
the
year
and
is
touted
to
be
Ranbir's
best
performance
so
far.
Also
starring
Rashmika
Mandanna,
Anil
Kapoor,
Triptii
Dimri
in
key
roles,
Animal
has
managed
to
grab
all
the
eyeballs
and
has
opened
to
stupendous
reviews
from
the
audience.
In
fact,
it
also
appeared
as
a
giant
storm
at
the
box
office
giving
a
tough
fight
to
the
big
releases
like
Shah
Rukh
Khan's
Jawan,
Pathaan
and
Prabhas'
much
talked
about
Baahubali
2.
It
has
been
an
interesting
game
going
on
in
terms
of
box
office
wherein
Animal
is
not
leaving
any
stone
unturned
to
surpass
the
big
releases
and
create
new
records
almost
every
day.
However,
this
Sandeep
Reddy
Vanga
directorial
has
witnessed
a
significant
drop
in
collections
in
the
second
week.
After
crossing
Rs
400
crores
at
the
second
weekend,
Animal
has
been
witnessing
a
continuous
drop
in
the
warnings.
According
to
a
report
published
with
Sacnilk,
Animal
has
managed
to
rake
in
Rs
13.32
crores
on
day
12
(second
Tuesday)
out
of
which
Rs
12.57
crores
were
earned
from
Hindi
version.
And
while
Animal
is
competing
with
big
releases,
it
failed
to
beat
Pathaan,
Baahubali
2
and
Jawan
on
the
12th
day
of
release.
For
the
uninitiated,
Pathaan
minted
Rs
27.5
crores
on
day
12,
while
Baahubali
2
and
Jawan
raked
in
Rs
15.75
crores
and
14.25
crores
respectively.
On
the
other
hand,
Animal
has
minted
Rs
458.12
crores
in
12
days
of
release
and
is
expected
to
cross
Rs
470
crores
mark
today,
Jawan
earned
Rs
493.88
crores
while
Pathaan
raked
in
Rs
429.9
crores.
Besides,
Baahubali
2
has
made
a
collection
of
Rs
750
crores
in
India
in
just
12
days.
It
is
evident
that
Animal
has
an
upper
hand
on
Pathaan
but
is
still
having
a
hard
time
beating
Jawan
and
Baahubali
2.
Interestingly,
Animal
is
witnessing
a
box
office
clash
with
Vicky
Kaushal,
Sanya
Malhotra
and
Fatima
Sana
Shaikh's
biographical
war
drama
Sam
Bahadur.
Talking
about
the
clash,
Vicky
told
Indian
Express,
"When
two
opening
batsmen
come
to
the
crease,
playing
for
the
same
team,
you
won't
say
that
the
two
batsmen
are
clashing
with
each
other;
they
are
playing
for
a
single
team,
so
we
are
playing
for
Hindi
cinema".
Meanwhile,
Ranbir's
Animal
has
managed
to
crush
Sam
Bahadur
at
the
box
office
and
this
is
evident
with
a
huge
gap
in
their
collections.
