Ranbir
Kapoor
starrer
Animal
has
been
the
talk
of
the
town
ever
since
it
was
announced
and
there
are
no
second
thoughts
about
it.
The
Sandeep
Reddy
Vanga
directorial
brought
together
an
interesting
ensemble
of
cast
including
Ranbir,
Rashmika
Mandanna,
Anil
Kapoor,
Triptii
Dimri,
and
Bobby
Deol
in
the
lead
and
it
was
backed
with
an
interesting
story
and
direction.
As
expected,
Animal
witnessed
a
thunderous
response
at
the
box
office
since
the
first
day.
Interestingly,
Animal
has
come
in
the
race
of
the
biggest
releases
of
late
and
has
been
giving
an
interesting
fight
to
Sunny
Deol
and
Ameesha
Patel's
Gadar
2,
Shah
Rukh
Khan's
much
talked
about
releases
Jawan
and
Pathaan
and
Prabhas
starrer
Baahubali
2.
And
while
the
box
office
has
been
on
fire
post
Animal's
release,
fans
have
been
curious
to
know
who
among
Ranbir,
SRK,
Sunny
and
Prabhas
are
leading
at
the
box
office
on
day
14
of
release.
To
note,
Animal
raked
in
a
total
of
Rs
8.56
crores
at
the
box
office
and
minted
Rs
8.1
crores
from
the
Hindi
version
on
day
14
(second
Thursday).
And
while
it
is
competing
with
names
like
Jawan,
Pathaan,
Baahubali
2
and
Gadar
2,
the
Prabhas
starrer
took
a
lead
here
with
a
collection
of
Rs
12.75
crores
on
its
14th
day
of
release.
In
fact,
Baahubali
2
recorded
the
second
highest
day
14
collection
after
PK.
On
the
other
hand,
Sunny
Deol's
Gadar
2
managed
to
beat
Animal
with
a
slight
difference
as
it
had
minted
Rs
8.4
crores
on
day
14.
On
the
other
hand,
Jawan
had
earned
Rs
8.6
crore
in
Hindi
on
day
14
while
the
number
was
Rs
7.5
crores
for
Pathaan.
It
is
evident
that
Animal
did
manage
to
beat
Pathaan
on
day
14
but
failed
to
beat
Jawan
by
a
small
margin.
It
will
be
interesting
to
see
if
Animal
can
manage
to
beat
the
big
releases
in
the
coming
days
Interestingly,
Animal
is
witnessing
a
box
office
clash
with
Vicky
Kaushal,
Sanya
Malhotra
and
Fatima
Sana
Shaikh's
biographical
war
drama
Sam
Bahadur.
Talking
about
the
clash,
Vicky
told
Indian
Express,
"When
two
opening
batsmen
come
to
the
crease,
playing
for
the
same
team,
you
won't
say
that
the
two
batsmen
are
clashing
with
each
other;
they
are
playing
for
a
single
team,
so
we
are
playing
for
Hindi
cinema".
Meanwhile,
Ranbir's
Animal
has
managed
to
crush
Sam
Bahadur
at
the
box
office
and
this
is
evident
with
a
huge
gap
in
their
collections.
