Mr. Aamir Khan
11 Bela Vista Apartments,
Pali Hill, Bandra,
Mumbai 400 050.
INDIA.

Dear Mr. Aamir,

I am reading and hearing numerous reactions here in London on the web and on the television due to your indulgence in the rehabilitation issue. I have read your statements and opinions on this particular subject as well.

Mr. Aamir, I can understand how you would be experiencing at this juncture when you can not even call any one for your support openly, even when the people from your own industry are willing to support you but due to the consequential results they are afraid to come out in support of awareness you raised.

I do salute the bravery of Mr. Anil Kapoor, Govind Nihalini and Rahul Bose who dared to come in support of your cause despite the current political environment where in they may be punished for 'offence' of their support to the affected displaced people of Gujrat alongwith you, I wish and hope other bigger names like Mahesh Bhatt, Subhash Ghai, Yash Chopra, Karan Johar etc join you, not just for you but for the issue you have raised.

I, being a British Asian, despite living in London have great appreciation for the courage you have shown by not bowing down in front of these so called 'white elephants' who treat politics as their own 'asset' which they could use or misuse it as and when they wish, justifiably or other way round.

Remember, it is not you who is scaring them, but basically it is the their 'habit' of treating politics as their owned property, they are scared of someone 'alien' to politics like you, who is intruding their territory and may take the credit of what they may do anything for the affected people in future after all of bureaucracy and red tapism. Their motive is to malign your credential in front of people of Gujrat and Nation by asking you to apologize so that they can tell to the people 'look! It is us who are your savior'. This is irrespective of any particular political party.

I may not support you personally, but I am with the cause you have taken forward with utmost sincerity and without any gain out of it, considering you have no intention to venture into politics or any party, and you do not have a greed for popularity that you already have.

Have a lot to say, but right now, all I can say is 'best of luck' and 'serve the humanity'.

Mrs. Kanta Patel
