Says Adnan, "I will be shifting there within the next two months. It's much bigger than my present home in Four Bungalows in Andheri because I needed the space. The brief to my interior designer, Shakti Parmar is fairly simple, white with dashes of colour. While the 12th and 13th floors will be my residence, the 14th floor flat will triple up as my music room, studio and study."
It's a dog's life
Adnan says the decor he wants is exotic with Moroccan influences. "My residence is a good blend of classic and modern lines. The use of plants and wood effects gives the place a warm and welcoming feel. My home theatre is wood panelled. Shakti has done an amazing job. I collect lots of shoes, caps and belts and needed a lot of space for them and he designed my closet accordingly," he says.
Adnan will be shifting into his new residence along with his 'babies': his two pet dogs. "One is an adorable Basset Hound called Jazz and the other is an equally adorable Golden Retriever called Rock. Both are male, three months old and complete laugh riots. Jazz is extremely possessive and lords over Rock because he came earlier. One night, I found them playing outside my door at 3 am without a care in the world! They are such a joy to have around," Adnan laughs.
Positive state
He's also ready with his next baby - his new album. "It's almost finished. It's called Kisi Din... Someday and will be out by January 2007. It's about hope and the title track is about loving somebody some day. It's a very romantic album with songs written by Sameer. I'm an incurable romantic, so I'm in love with Kisi Din's lyrics."
Adnan says his album reflects his currently positive state of mind, especially after his dramatic weight loss (89 kgs). "It's different from my other albums. It's very reflective. The music is differently arranged and contempo- rary. It's the way I feel right now."
As for his strict diet, Adnan says that he's still working on losing more weight. He says, "It's become a way of life for me now. You shouldn't treat your diet as a temporary phase but make it a part of your lifestyle. Or you run the risk of going back to square one!"
