Being considered as Subhash Ghai's favorite Akshay Khanna has proved himself as one of the talented actors in Bollywood. Ghai and Akshay combination has always delivered good entertaining movies. Shaadi Se Pehle will be their next venture, which is directed by Satish Kaushik. IndiaFM spoke to Akshay about his forthcoming movie and his association with Mukta Arts.
Why
did
you
take
a
long
gap
after
your
last
movie
Hulchul?
I
didn't
take
a
break.
I
was
doing
a
film,
produced
by
Anil
Kapoor
(Gandhi,
My
Father).
That
film
took
exactly
a
year
to
complete.
After
Hulchul
I
did
that
film
and
I
signed
Shaadi
Se
Pehle
after
that.
But
this
movie
got
over
fast
and
is
releasing
first.
What
do
you
think
about
the
reunion
with
Mukta
Arts?
I
have
a
special
relationship
with
Mukta.
Subhashji
is
like
my
father.
Whenever
he
thinks
that
I
am
suitable
for
any
role
or
I
can
justify
with
the
character,
he
signs
me.
I
have
worked
with
him
earlier
and
I
would
like
to
continue
to
work
with
Subhashji
in
future.
How
was
your
experience
in
Shaadi
Se
Pehle?
I
would
not
like
to
reveal
much
about
his
film
but
I
can
assure
you
that
it's
one
of
the
best
comedies
of
Indian
cinema.
How
is
Satish
Kaushik
as
a
director?
We
love
working
with
each
other.
We
got
along
well.
He
is
one
master
of
comedy.
He
himself
is
a
great
actor
so
suggestions
helped
me
to
give
my
best.
I
enjoyed
working
with
him
and
hope
to
do
more
movies
in
future.
What
about
music
of
this
film?
Music
is
fantastic.
Everyone
is
aware
that
Himesh
Reshmiya
is
in
form.
He
gave
music
for
Humraaz,
which
was
a
musical
hit.
He
has
done
a
superb
work
for
Shaadi
Se
Pehle
too.
Music
is
going
to
be
hit.
How
was
it
working
with
two
gorgeous
actresses
of
Bollywood
in
the
same
film?
I
enjoyed
working
with
them.
Mallika
and
Ayesha
both
are
juniors
to
me
but
among
talented
Bollywood
actresses.
All
the
cast
have
been
used
according
to
characters
and
everyone
fits
into
their
characters.
Both
have
finely
portrayed
their
roles.
I
feel
when
the
characters
are
fixed
then
acting
is
not
an
issue
for
actors.
How
was
it
working
with
Subhashji?
As
I
said
it's
always
been
my
pleasure
to
be
part
of
Mukta
Arts.
He
is
very
experienced
filmmaker
and
his
knowledge
regarding
film
marketing
is
excellent.
My
forthcoming
with
him
includes
36
China
Town
directed
by
Abbas
Mastan.
And
about
Shaadi
Se
Pehle
the
casting
is
done
so
well
that
every
character
suits
to
their
role
and
I
think
that's
the
USP
of
this
film.
