Anupam Kher is one of the few actors in Bollywood who does not hesitate to do something different. In fact, he always tries to portray different types of characters in his films; even the kind of roles which many actors would otherwise be reluctant about. In fact, last year itself he did Maine Gandhi Ko Mara for which his performance got highly appreciated and he has also purportedly won a National Award for the same.

And now, Anupam Kher will be seen in a whole new avatar in Shirish Kunder's Jaan-E-Mann. Kher in this film plays the role of a dwarf, who is a successful lawyer by profession and a friend and guide of Salman's in the film. Obviously, shooting for this film must have been physically exhausting as Kher had to walk on his knees and stay kneeled in the scenes to look like a dwarf. But that didn't make him hesitant from playing the role of 'Vakil Chachu', which is the name of his character in the film.

Talking of dwarfs, the first Indian actor that comes to your mind is Kamal Hasan known for his portrayal of Appu, a dwarf clown in the film Appu-Raja. But that was more than a decade back, so it'll be fun to see a senior and talented actor like Kher play the role of a dwarf again.

In the picture above, Anupam Kher is seen with other dwarf actors who are dressed up like Lilliputs from the Snow-White fairy tale. Jaan-E-Mann is Shirish Kunder's first directorial venture. The film stars Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar and Preity Zinta in lead roles.
