After

Farah

off

where
she

While
Farah
was
to
play
the
role
of
a
critic
for
the
show,
she
realized
that
there
are
some
movie
critics
in
the
industry
who
don't
know
anything
about
films
or
filmmaking.
In an interview she stated that when the blockbuster hit Sholay was released, some critics said it was the worst movie ever. Not just that but one of the most successful Hollywood movies in India - Titanic, too, received bad reviews by some film critics. Later these movies turned out to be super successful. Farah feels bad when an ignorant analyzes any movie. Talking about her own movie Main Hoon Na, she reveals that Shah Rukh did not give an interview to a particular media person. So that person gave a bad review to their film. She feels that being a critic one should not be dishonest. Personal angst should not mix-up with professionalism.
Being a filmmaker Farah feels a critic should be honest and transparent about his judgment. According to her, she would prefer to choose people from the industry, who are far more knowledgeable, to judge her movie. Her list includes her favorites like SRK, Karan Johar and Javed Akhtar.
She recollects that when her first film as a director Main Hoon Na was released, most of the critics rejected the film by saying it as a crap. But when her husband Shirish Kunder's first movie Janemann got released, the same critics claimed that the film lacks what Main Hoon Na had!
Thankfully there are some filmmakers who are least concerned about movie reviews or a critic's comment about their film.
