Our Bollywood stars would be the perfect choice to tell you that it's a jungle out there. And closer home things are similar! Well... almost! You may have already guessed what exactly we're talking about. And for those who haven't, welcome to the world of star pets!

A celebrity's life can get lonely at times. And all they need is some affection! And what better place to get it from than from a furry friend. For someone like Shah Rukh Khan, adulation is something routine. However, when he gets home, he is as normal as any other person. His dogs Chewbecca and Rebecca complete the family picture. And as he says, his dogs do not care that he's a superstar! In fact, many a times they just look at him with a bored expression! But they love their master all the same!

While on the topic of the Khans, mention of Salman Khan is inevitable. A self confessed animal lover, he is known to spoil his loved ones. And his two French mastiffs, Myson and Myjaan are no exception. Gifted to him by friend Kamaal Khan, their names tell us what they mean to him. He spoils them rotten and they even accompany him on shoots! And if you're lucky enough, you might just catch him walking his dogs, close to his Bandra home, in the wee hours of the morning!

When it comes to spoiling your pets, Arjun Rampal is not too far behind. His dogs Tyson and Demi are living the life many people can only dream of living. They have their own beds, designer clothes and the best of everything! In fact, Arjun's wife Mehr makes it a point to shop for accessories for them whenever she is traveling abroad!

Not too many know about the soft side of Fardeen Khan. But the truth is that he too has a soft spot for animals, particularly his dogs Tiger and Gunda. There was a time when his pet dog was in the hospital and he was worried sick. The call he made to the hospital is one of the most memorable calls as he found out that his dog had managed to make it.

Arshad Warsi and wife Maria give a new meaning to the term joint family. And this extended family is that of their dogs. There is a male named Ninja, a female, Betty Boo and their son, Taz! That certainly makes a pretty picture for a family album!

You'd think that with all their nakhras, our desi actresses wouldn't exactly be gung ho about the idea of having a pet! But these women certainly prove us wrong. The sultry Bipasha Basu dotes on her pocket Chihuahua, Poshto. In fact, this tiny tot wears clothes designed by Bipasha's designer, Rocky S! Many a times, he is seen wearing ganjis that match those of Bipasha's! Maybe the love has something to do with the fact that it was gifted to her by a certain Mr. Abraham!

While Bipasha has such a tiny pet, Aishwarya on the other hand has a huge female boxer named Sunshine. Rumour has it that Sunshine was gifted to her by Vivek Oberoi on her birthday. We don't know about that but we do know that she absolutely loves her pet!

Then there is Lara Dutta and Kelly Dorjee who have two dogs. On many occasions, the duo can be spotted walking their dogs along the quaint bylanes of Bandra. That's not all. She is even the Godmother to buddy Celina Jaitley's dogs, cocker spaniel Heineken, shitzu, Pepe and the white Labrador pub Trooper. And Lara makes sure that she keeps these god children happy by showering them with gifts. Last Diwali, Lara had gifted them leather biker jackets with the words Monster printed on them!

Perizaad Zorabian prefers more unconventional names and has gone ahead and named her pug Chintamani! She confesses that playing with him is a complete stress buster! Starlet Nauheed Cyrusi has named her dog Satriani after the legendary rocker. Even yesteryears actress, Rekha made news when she cried over the death of her poodle Pishti on Simi Garewal's Rendezvous. Even today, she is happy living with her pets in her bungalow.

Other actresses who adore their dogs include Raveena Tandon who has four dogs and is actively involved with animal welfare, Urmila Matondkar, Udita Goswami and Kim Sharma who recently got a puppy. In fact, some time back Raveena Tandon made front page headlines, courtesy her dog Rambo who was 'dognapped.' This story had a happy ending as they were finally reunited. And then there are those who are different like Hrithik Roshan who has a cat named Pearl and Sameera Reddy who has turtles.

So it is quite evident that, for our celebs these pets are the apple of their eyes! And whoever said that it was a dog's life, sure as hell didn't know what he was talking about!
