If
you
sense
a
certain
glint
in
her
voice,
don't
blame
her.
After
all
she
has
bagged
a
film
with
none
other
than
Anupam
Kher
as
a
producer.
And
to
think
of
it,
this
is
just
her
second
film.
Excited
as
a
child
with
a
happy
tone
sprinkling
loud
and
clear,
she
speaks
about
her
upcoming
project.
Bagging
a
film
with
Anupam
Kher.
How
does
it
feel?
I
am
just
not
in
a
position
to
describe
how
I
feel.
And
to
say
that
I
am
at
the
top
of
the
world
would
be
an
understatement
(If
she
doesn't
have
her
feet
on
the
earth,
she
is
not
trying
to
hide
it
in
any
ways).
To
think
of
the
fact
that
I
am
actually
doing
a
film
with
Anupam
Kher
is
something
that
is
yet
to
sink
it!
Ok,
ok,
that's
really
nice.
So
how
did
it
all
happen?
Well,
Anupam
Kher
said
that
he
saw
me
in
some
of
the
work
I
had
done
earlier.
He
had
also
gone
through
my
show-reel
and
was
particularly
impressed
by
my
look
in
Traffic
Signal.
He
could
sense
that
this
was
something
different
in
the
making.
Soon
he
was
in
talks
with
Ashok
Pandit,
who
is
close
to
him,
and
Ashok
further
spoke
to
Madhur
Bhandarkar
about
my
work.
So
what
did
Madhur
have
to
say?
He
has
been
quite
pleased
all
this
while
with
the
kind
of
work
I
had
put
in
the
film.
In
fact
recently
he
also
gave
me
a
compliment
after
seeing
the
rushes
of
the
film
that
not
only
I
had
performed
well,
I
was
looking
beautiful
in
the
film
too.
Now
that
was
some
real
good
compliment
since
it
was
coming
from
Madhurji.
Anyways,
so
what
happened
was
that
he
gave
some
good
feedback
about
my
work
to
Ashok
and
there
I
was
sitting
right
in
front
of
Anupam
Kher
and
signing
my
next
film.
How
was
it
meeting
with
the
person
who
is
now
considered
as
a
living
legend
by
many
in
the
industry?
Simply
terrific.
I
have
admired
his
work
for
all
these
years
and
when
I
look
at
him,
I
see
someone
who
is
so
subtle,
so
normal,
so
simple!
In
fact
not
once
did
he
make
me
feel
that
I
was
facing
someone
who
is
so
BIG
in
the
industry
today.
He
made
me
feel
at
ease
and
showered
compliments
that
were
so
flattering!
Performance
based?
How
exactly?
Well,
this
is
a
film
about
this
father
who
is
searching
for
his
lost
son.
While
father
is
being
played
by
Mr.
Kher,
the
actor
for
a
son
still
needs
to
be
finalized.
And
I
come
into
picture
as
a
journalist
who
tries
to
help
this
man.
Basically
the
film
has
Mr.
Kher
as
a
lead
protagonist
and
me
as
a
person
who
helps
him
in
his
endeavor.
And
yes,
don't
expect
any
hero-heroine
etc.
because
that's
not
the
film
about!
Journalist
sounds
interesting.
So
how
do
the
look
and
characterization
go?
I
have
an
Afghani
look
in
the
film
and
so
you
will
find
me
with
dupattas
and
those
long
coats
that
you
may
have
seen
Afghani
women
wearing.
Yes,
I
don
jeans
etc.
too
but
majority
of
the
film
will
have
me
in
Afghani
woman
getup.
It's
a
challenge
since
it
is
yet
another
new
look
that
I
would
be
carrying
after
Garam
Masala
and
Traffic
Signal
and
I
am
looking
forward
to
being
noticed.
The
characters
and
the
film
are
based
in
Kashmir
but
do
not
expect
a
stereotypical
Kashmiri
portrayal
as
we
all
are
used
to
seeing
in
numerous
flicks.
How
does
the
rest
of
the
crew
look?
Well,
while
this
film
is
Anupam
Kher's
home
production,
Ashok
Pandit,
who
has
earlier
made
Sheen
and
is
himself
quite
a
social
activist,
directs
it.
This
is
one
film
that
I
am
indeed
proud
to
be
associated
with.
What
else
is
happening
on
the
career
front?
Promotion
of
Traffic
Signal
should
begin
soon
and
I
can
easily
say
that
it
is
going
to
make
people
sit
up
and
take
notice
of
everyone
who
has
been
associated
with
the
film.
Apart
from
that,
the
music
video
of
Shreya
Ghoshal's
private
album
on
'Kamasutra' that
features
me
should
also
be
on
the
small
screen
soon.
So,
yes
you
can
say
that
audience
would
have
a
lot
to
see
of
me
in
coming
few
months
at
least!
Last
but
not
the
least,
what
did
Anupam
Kher
himself
had
to
say
after
choosing
you?
When
I
said
that
I
was
looking
forward
to
working
with
him,
he
answered
saying
that
it
was
mutual
and
he
shared
the
same
thoughts.
I
am
sure
this
film
is
going
to
be
one
milestone
in
my
career
since
the
script
is
drive
so
much
by
its
characters
and
their
performances.
