Mumbai
(UNI):
Bollywood
superstar
Shah
Rukh
Khan
says
that
his
character
in
the
forthcoming
film
Kabhi
Alvida
Na
Kehna(KANK)
is
an
absolute
turnaround
from
the
utopian
lover
roles
he
has
portrayed
so
far.
Talking
to
reporters
here
yesterday,
Shah
Rukh
said
unlike
the
'Raj'
and
'Rahul'
characters
he
has
played
in
blockbusters
like
DDLJ
and
Kuch
Kuch
Hota
Hai
respectively,
his
character
''Dev''
in
KANK
is
cynical
and
scarce.
But
due
to
Director
Karan
Johar's
conviction,
the
character
will
be
likeable,
Shah
Rukh
said.
''I
would
not
have
done
this
film,
if
somebody
else
had
been
the
director,''
he
added.
Speaking
about
KANK,
Shah
Rukh
said
the
movie
has
a
bold
theme.
''It
is
bold
not
in
the
sense
of
sensuality,
sexuality
or
the
language
used.
It
deals
with
the
subject
of
vulnerable
relationships
with
dignity.
The
focus
is
on
what
happens
when
relationships
go
haywire,''
he
added.
Speaking
about
his
new
venture
-a
VFX
studio
started
by
his
production
house
'Red
Chillis',
Shah
Rukh
said
the
effort
is
to
bring
quality
into
visual
effects
used
in
films.
''
We
have
got
a
couple
of
visualisers
and
operators
who
are
experts
in
this
field
and
getting
good
business.
The
company
will
take
up
work
for
outside
producers
as
well.
The
special
effects
of
my
film
Don
directed
and
produced
by
Farhan
Akhtar
is
done
here.
The
company
will
also
do
the
special
effects
of
my
home
production
''Om
Shanti
Om'',
he
informed.
When
asked
about
his
co-star
Abhishek
Bachchan
in
KANK,
Shah
Rukh
said,
''Abhishek
is
a
well-behaved
boy.
Unfortunately,
we
do
not
have
many
scenes
in
the
film.
He
is
hard
working
and
very
funny.
We
had
good
time
shooting
for
the
film
in
New
York''.
To
a
question
on
who
has
been
his
best
co-star
so
far,
Shah
Rukh
replied,
''Myself
in
the
film
Duplicate''.
