Yes, it's official. Actress Shweta Konnur (Naina, Darna Mana Hai) and Mumbai's most famous tarot card reader, Sunita Menon's businessman brother, Sumesh, are a couple.

Confirms the actress, "It's true that Sumesh and I have been dating each other for the last six months. We have been going out to every party together so we can't hide the fact. Just last week we went to Ekta's mom's birthday party."

Ken played Cupid

"Ken Ghosh played Cupid in our romance," reveals Shweta. "He introduced me to Sumesh in May last week. We started off as friends, then began seeing each other and fell in love."

'It's not a stupid affair'

Shweta reveals that she recently bought a two-BHK in Khar and since Sumesh's company deals with powder coating on windows, she is considering getting it done in her new apartment. Shweta insists they are serious about each other.

"It's not a stupid affair. It's been six months that we've been in love. The combination is interesting and the connection is wow! It's so difficult to find someone to fall in love with. Most of my single girlfriends ask me to find me a good guy for them. Sumesh is a very nice guy." glows the much-in-love girl.

Treated like a princess

What does she love best about him? "The fact that he treats me like a princess. Sumesh makes me feel special. He's a very chivalrous person and does all the chivalrous things, like opening the car door for me, pulling out a chair, and stuff like that. Sumesh is a kind and considerate guy."

And is he accepting of the fact that she is an actress? "He never had any problems," says the Cancerian.

"Sunita has many friends in the film industry, so she knows what it's about, and so does Sumesh. He would lose respect for me if I sat home and did nothing. He appreciates that I am an independent, working woman."

On her platter

Right now, Shweta is working in Friends Forever, and has completed a Tamil film, Passalingal, with Shivaji Ganesan's son, Prabhu. Why so few films?

"I am a lazy person, who feels awkward to go out and ask for work. My secretary fixes up the south films and I go and do them. I did the super hit, Chandramukhi, with Rajnikanth," says Shweta who began her career as a model for Wrigley's Chewing Gum, Fair and Lovely, Parachute, Dabur Vatika, Britannia and other brands.
