"There must be something really good to the story, since I signed it" - Udita

After turning up the heat a few notches this past summer in Zeher, the ever-so-hot pair of Emraan Hashmi and Udita Goswami are back in Anant Mahadevan's Aksar. Giving them company this time is Dino Morea. Slated for a January release, the promos are already creating strong ripples. In fact, predictably so, since it's an Emraan Hashmi movie, the music has caught on with the masses. Aaja Aaja is the track that is slowly but surely climbing the popularity charts. We recently visited the sets of the movie, while the remix version of Aaja Aaja was being shot.

Post-Zeher, we can expect Udita to display her grooves in this one as well. So how many numbers will we see her dancing in? "I have danced in two whereas in the remaining two, all I have to do is look! Right now, we are shooting for the remix of Aaja Aaja. I have a feeling I will enjoy this song the most", she replies. At a time when many actresses are shying away from remixes or item numbers for fear of being tagged as an 'item girl', Udita seems to have no qualms about remix videos. She was recently even seen in DJ Suketu's Kya Khoob lagti Ho video. "A remix is all about having fun. You don't have to follow a fixed set of actions. It's not like I have to behave in a particular way just because the hero is standing there." Quiz her about her favorite song and she can't seem to decide since she likes all of them! Emraan on the other hand seems to have his favorites. At first he too insists that he loves all the songs. But prod him further and he admits that Aaja Aaja is his personal favorite. "The album has six situational songs. There is another song called 'Zikr', which is very nice. Himesh has given great tracks. Every track has its own flavor," says the actor.

If one goes by the promos, the film looks like a love triangle, what with Emraan, Udita and Dino in it. What do the stars have to say? Udita is quite forthcoming with her reply, "This is the only film I signed after Zeher. So there must be something really good to the story, since I signed only one film. It is very interesting. There are two heroes and one heroine in the movie. Since it is a mind game between these three people, I cannot reveal much about the movie. My director will tell you what he thinks is appropriate! I can't tell you! " Emraan would label the film as a thriller. He guarantees, "The audience will be on the edge of their seats to know the suspense." He plays a fashion photographer who manages to get involved with a married woman, played by Udita. She plays a model turned actress, something that she is in real life. It probably must have been quite simple to essay this role. "It is a very interesting character. Apart from the fact that I am actually a model turned actress, there is no other similarity, since this character always has her nose in the air! She is quite at home with the entire team. "It is great to work with Emraan. There is a comfort level with him. I bonded a lot with the Aksar team!"

An interview with Emraan Hashmi would not be complete without asking him about his reputation of a "serial kisser." What does he have to say about his image? "It's not like I have made a conscious effort to create an image. All the tags that have been attached to me are created by the media. So if the media changes these tags, my image will also change." He further elaborates, "If the script demands it, I will kiss onscreen! The creative team decides it. I just work on the sets! So you will have to direct this question to them."

From what it appears, the Aksar creative team definitely felt the need for some hot scenes in the movie! We can't wait to see what this onscreen pairing has to offer this time!
