He was introduced in the film fraternity through Joy Augustine"s romantic-comedy flick Tere Mere Sapne. Since then, his career has gone through many ups and downs. Still considers himself as a struggling actor; this down to earth man, got his first big break in Rajkumar Hirani"s Munna Bhai MBBS and then there was no looking back. Arshad"s forthcoming film Dhamaal is all set to release.

What is Dhamaal all about?
Dhamaal is a gang oriented film. It is basic, grass root comedy. There"s no story, chase or run. Not for a minute will you stop laughing, it"s a complete entertainer. It"s about four useless and wasted losers. But they posses some important information, that Sanju is trying to seek.

What is your character in the film?
It"s not much different from the character I played in Golmaal, a lousy useless chap who has nothing to do in life.

How was it working with the crew of Dhamaal?
It was great; all are superb actors. A good crew is very important for any actor to perform well. Moreover, Induji is a cool man to work with. He makes you very comfortable on the sets.

Tell us about the music in the film?
There are four songs. All peppy and lively, in short; complete Dhamaal.

Any solo projects in the pipeline?
Well, frankly speaking, I am not dying to do one. I still consider myself as a struggling actor and not a star. I am not confident about taking the whole responsibility of the film on myself (laughs).Call it fear or whatever, I wonder if people would accept me as a solo actor.

Arshad, what if some big banner like Yash Raj offers you a solo?
Script is what interests me. If the script is good, I will take the offer.

Tell us about your other projects.
I am excited about Goal. I simply, love the character. I am playing the captain of a constantly losing football team, who"s desperately trying to make the players play. There are too many problems on his head both on a personal and professional level. It was a tough role for me to play. And the other film is Sunday, which is again a comedy flick. Both these films will release after Dhamaal.

How was it working with John Abraham since you guys have worked together previously in Kabul Express?
Kabul Express was a planned film. There were no hassles during the shoot. Goal is a multistarrer film and misunderstandings are bound to happen. But as far as John is concerned, he is a cool chap. We get along very well.

What is the status of Munna Bhai Chale Amerika?
It will release by the end of 2008.

Sanjay Dutt and you shared a superb chemistry in the films you"ve worked together. Now that he is out on bail what do you feel?
I am very happy for him. I think he has gone through enough and should be cleared now.
