Supriya and Pankaj in Dharam

"Working with the two was fantastic and at the same time challenging. There was always a word of advice from Pankaj for the entire production team. And of course when you are working with someone like Pankaj kapur and Supriya Pathak you are constantly learning".

The film will also be showcased in the prestigious Cannes film festival. So how does she feel to have her debut film to be screened at the festival? "It's a big honour for me. It's my first film and I am sharing a platform with other first time filmmakers. You almost feel like the pioneers of the revolution that is happening in Indian cinema which is extremely humbling".

With the festival film comes a tag of niche audience. So was the film made so as to cater to a particular audience? "This film is made with complete honesty and like any other artist I would expect everyone to come and watch this film. I have just tried to make a very humble submission to people. It's another perspective and I want people to come and watch this perspective".

The director is quite excited about the film's release which happens in June. So is she working on any new projects? "I have two films in mind. One is a musical and the other is an adaptation. I don't want to talk about it right now. At the moment I am toying with which one I should go for".
