This Diwali Bollywood saw a dhamaka with Shahrukh Khan starer Om Shanti Om taking on Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Saawariya. But the year might just end on a higher note as three mega starer take on each other. Just a week to Christmas the industry will have three releases with Aamir Khan's Taare Zameen Par, Akshay starer Welcome and Ajay Devgan's Hall Bol.
Taare Zameen Par
Taare Zameen Par is a simple story of Ishaan Awasthi an eight-year-old who lives in a dream world filled with colour, animals and nature's magic surrounded by adults who care little about these things. His parents send him to a boarding as he constantly keeps inviting trouble. He trauma increases with seperation from his family until he meets his art teacher Ram Shankar Nikumbh, who infects the students with joy and optimism. Ishaan soon realises he is very happy with his life.
Welcome is a comedy where a don Sikander along with his gang members wants to get his sister Sanjana married into a respectable family. They come across a handsome bachelor Rajiv and want him as a match for Sanjana. Rajiv and Sanjana unaware of this meet and fall in love. The movie take a U Turn when a woman enters the picture claiming to be Rajiv's fiancee.
Halla Bol is the story of Ashfaque a small town boy aspiring to be a hero. He joins a street theatre group run by a reformed dacoit Sidhu who who awakens the masses through street plays. He struggle sna finally breaks it into the movies. With all the stardom he slowly looses his self identity. He gets alianated from his loved ones including wife Sneha. In a shocking incident he gets caught between his human self on one side and his corrupted superstar image on the other.
The three movies promise a lot but will they become a victim of too much in too short period of time. It remains who walks into the new year with smile.
