When Dino Morea had to enact a drunken scene in Vikram Bhatt's Life Mein Kabhi Kabhie, he didn't think twice before swigging a drink and actually getting drunk to get into the act.

Talking about the incident, Dino says, "Normally, I don't drink more than a glass of wine but during this particular scene in LMKK, I was required to be intoxicated, break down and scream at my older brother played by Mohnish Belhl.

It was an intensely dramatic and emotional scene. So I asked Vikram if I could actually get drunk and enact the scene."

High, but in control

Vikram didn't exactly welcome the suggestion, reveals Dino, "He was a bit sceptical and thought I would forget the lines but asked me to go ahead. I gulped down a bottle of wine in half an hour and was soon quite high.

It helped me to slur my lines though I was in my senses. It's the first time I have got intoxicated for a film." Dino says he hates getting drunk and losing control. "I know my limits and never lose control when I drink.

Though I have broken down emotionally lots of times but I will never drink and drive, throw up, get aggressive or misbehave with women when drunk. I don't go berserk. I like to be in control. I guess I have grown up this way.

I have always had to be responsible for myself. It comes with my moving to Mumbai, living alone, buying my own home. Somewhere I feel I will lose it, if I lose control."

Dino says he's a emotional guy who is not afraid of showing off his soft side. When asked about the last time he cried, he admits, "It was about 10 days ago but it's too personal to talk about.

After getting high, I've broken down emotionally a number of times. I look macho from the outside but from inside I am quite weak. When I first came to Mumbai and was staying in paying guest accommodations I just sat down and cried my heart out. I didn't know what to do.

I had no one to turn to for advise. I was all on my own." Dino says he never smoked or drank in college. "I was the quintessential bad boy but I never liked alcohol or smoking.

I have become a social drinker only in the last six years. When I was a kid my parents told me, I could smoke and drink but I would have to pay for it myself. That has made me cautious too."
