Fardeen on his hair style
Fardeen Khan, who has often been touted as something of a style icon, was recently seen at the opening of Apeni Savio's salon, Magic, in Bandra.
We decided to check with Fardeen about his connection with the hairstylist.
How
do
you
know
Apeni?
She's
been
styling
my
hair
since
Jungle.
When
I
was
shooting
for
Jungle
in
Pune,
I
needed
a
haircut.
Today, apart from being my stylist, we are also great friends. Apeni does everyone's hair in my family, including my wife Natasha.
What's
her
style
like?
Apeni
is
a
talented
hair
and
professional
make-up
artist,
who
has
designed
my
look
in
all
the
Provogue
campaigns.
She has also done my look for in forthcoming films like Darling, which is a thriller, Viveck Vaswani's Dulha Mil Gaya, Shyam Bajaj's Jai And Veeru and Heyy Babyy!
What's
your
take
on
changing
hairstyles
with
fashion
trends?
I
don't
believe
in
doing
something
for
the
heck
of
it.
It
has
to
suit
me.
I
am
quite
conventional.
However,
it
is
important
to
reinvent
yourself
every
now
and
then,
especially
with
the
various
characters
one
plays
in
different
film.
Have
you
ever
thought
of
going
bald
for
a
role?
Yes,
why
not?
It
depends
on
the
filmmaker
and
his
commitment
to
the
film.
But
there's
no
point
doing
something
for
the
heck
for
it.
You
have
always
been
known
as
a
style
icon.
I
owe
a
lot
to
my
designer,
Shahid
Aamir,
who
has
made
a
great
contribution
to
my
image.
I
do
have
my
own
ideas
and
a
sense
of
style,
and
am
even
fussy
or
rigid
at
times.
Like there are only a few colours that I wear - like black and pastels - nothing more, nothing less.
Your
favourite
outfit?
Ripped
jeans
to
keep
you
cool,
a
vest
and
a
shirt.
I
also
enjoy
wearing
a
suit
once
in
a
while.
How
many
pairs
of
jeans
do
you
have?
12-15
pairs.
I
wear
one
for
many
years
till
I
have
to
throw
them
out.
My
favourites
are
Abercrombie&Fitch,
Armani
and
Levis.
Are
you
an
accessories
person?
I
only
have
a
weakness
for
watches.
My
favorite
is
Franck
Muller's
Crazy
Hours.
I
also
like
wearing
rings.
