Rendezvous with Geeta Basra
Tell
us
something
about
yourself
?
Basically,
I
am
a
Punjabi
girl
and
I
have
spent
my
childhood
in
London.
But
now,
I
am
settled
in
Mumbai.
Basically,
I
am
a
die
heart
Punjabi.
Was
it
your
dream
to
be
an
actor?
Have
you
done
any
course
for
acting?
Yes,
I
guess
that
since
I
was
born
I
had
this
dream
of
becoming
an
actor
and
my
parents
and
family
supported
me
to
realise
my
dreams.
I
am
lucky
to
get
my
parents'
support
for
my
dreams,
as
it
is
very
crucial
and
I
believe
no
one
can
move
ahead
without
the
backing
of
parents.
Yes,
I
had
done
theatre
in
London
and
than
learned
acting
from
the
Kishore
Namit
institute.
So
how
did
you
get
your
first
film?
Actually,
at
that
time
I
used
to
do
a
bit
of
modeling
also.
So
I
had
sent
my
portfolio
pictures
and
when
I
was
holidaying,
my
then
manager
got
a
call
that
I
was
called
for
audition.
Then
I
appeared
for
the
audition
and
the
screen
test
and
was
selected.
So this is your second consecutive movie with Emraan Hashmi. Would you like to do more movies with him in future?
See, we have gelled very well since Dil Diya Hai and I am very comfortable working with him. As of now I would prefer not to work with him for the time being or else everyone would say that I don't have a contract with the producer but with Emraan.
Tell
us
something
about
your
role
in
The
Train
?
I
am
playing
a
girl
who
is
a
woman
of
substance,
but
somehow
she
enters
the
life
of
a
married
man
and
turns
out
to
be
a
home
breaker.
The
story
is
all
about
extra-marital
affair.
So
you
are
playing
a
negative
role
?
Not
exactly,
it
has
a
negative
shade,
but
there
is
a
reason
to
be
so.
That
is
what
you
have
to
watch
and
find
out.
Do
you
believe
in
it
in
true
life?
Not
at
all,
I
am
totally
opposite
to
it.
So
it
was
very
challenging
for
me
to
play
this
role,
as
I
had
to
be
totally
opposite
to
what
I
am.
What
kind
of
roles
would
you
like
to
play
in
future?
Do
you
have
any
dream
role?
See,
being
an
actor
I
would
like
to
do
every
kind
of
role,
as
that's
the
best
part
of
being
an
actor
you
can
do
every
kind
of
role,
but
I
have
a
wish
to
play
Pakeeza
in
remake
of
Pakeeza.
