Katrina Kaif is in Australia for Singh Is Kinng. Meanwhile back home, there are reports of Raj Santoshi"s film being shelved. As reported, she was said to have run into problems because her boyfriend Salman doesn"t want her to work with Kapur. Here Katrina clears the air about the film, her boyfriend Salman and more... Read on.

Has your film with Shahid been shelved?
No. There is a game being played here and someone is manipulating facts. Rajji narrated the script to me and said Shahid has agreed to do the film. I agreed to do it in principle. Later, Rajji called when I was in Australia to say that the end of our film is similar to Jab We Met and he"s re-working the script and Shahid is a part of it. Rajji is keen to start the film but if he"s going ahead with another film, I don"t know about that.

It is believed that Salman called Santoshi and asked him to put the project on hold.
It"s demeaning and derogatory to say such things about a senior actor of Salman"s stature. He is not like that and to say that he would be interfering in my life and work is untrue. In regard to the relationship I share with Salman whether it be as a friend or anything else let me say that Salman has always given me advice when I have asked him. He"s extremely knowledgeable about the film industry and has very good script sense. Salman"s advice has always been very good as he never takes actions based on irrational judgements.

There has been talk about your owing your entry into Bollywood to Boney Duggal and Govinda.
Govinda is a senior and respected person and we have worked together in Partner. Boney Duggal is a relative of TJ Singh who was to produce London Dreams. That"s all I know of him. My mom Suzanna has been working for an NGO in Chennai for years.

Please continue…
Mom"s been working on the coastal line and is project manager of an NGO that deals with the rehabilitation of tsunami victims in Kovalam. I did KBC to donate for that particular project. People need to be careful before commenting on other"s characters. That"s something I wouldn"t ever tolerate. I will fight against anyone talking rubbish about my family.

How did you come to Mumbai?
Photographer Farookh Chotia spoke to me in London and asked me to come for a photo shoot. I started modelling and was offered Boom by Kaizad Gustad, Boom and the rest is history.
