Madhuri had a very successful career at one point of her life. She delivered multiple successful films but very few are aware about one film of hers that has never seen the daylight. Filmmaker Sudershan Rattan had signed her for a lead role of his directorial debut film Maanav Hatya.
This film made a disastrous effect on his life; Rattan became a small time estate agent to make his family survive. Going back to the time of making his film he reminisces that in after assisting south directors like B.R Ishara, Firoze Chinoy and T. Rama Rao, in year 1984 Rattan was all set to mark his debut in direction.
Rattan signed a new actor called Shekhar Suman for the male lead now his concern was leading lady of the film. Here he got acquainted with a new face called Madhuri Dixit, who kicked of with Rajshri's film Abodh. Rattan got into her contact through the general manager of Rajshri, P K Gupta. Dr Shriram Lagu arranged a meeting with Madhuri and her family and narrated them the story. In fact, Dr. Lagu was also a part of this film. Everything in the film was fine with Madhuri, except a rape scene but Rattan managed to convince her by giving Padmini Kolhapure's example from B.R.Chopra's Insaaf Ka Taraazu.
After all that Madhuri signed this for the amount of Rupees Twenty Five thousand, which was considered a big amount that time. As per the agreement, Madhuri shot for this film and things were quite okay till Filmmaker Subhash Ghai came into picture. Soon after some days Rattan came to know that Madhuri hired the secretary called Rakesh Nath. Rattan was waiting for Madhuri to complete her dubbing for the film. He kept contacting her secretary for several times but actress didn't respond back.
Later this matter was taken to the Assosiation and things went haywire. Finally, Rattan had to sell his film to Zee TV. Unfortunately, the film never got released for some reasons. But filmmaker never made any film after that. Rattan however has no qualms about the issues now. He feels great that he acknowledged her talent when no one was willing to give Madhuri a second look.
