is

after
a
long
hiatus.
Bollywood
is

their
'Chandini'
to

back
the
throne,
which

The
celebrated
actress
was
indeed
the
symbol
of
spontaneity
coupled
with
easeful
elegance
and
charm
par
excellence.
Sridevi who once reigned supreme in Bollywood in the 80s had relinquished the coveted position for a peaceful married life. With her immaculate acting skills, gyrating dance movements and alluring grace, Sridevi had taken the industry by storm be it Mr. India, Chaalbaaz, Sadma, Laadla, Lamhe, Khuda Gawah, etc. She had enacted a variety of roles opposite most of the leading heroes of the day in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam movies. Sridevi during her break from cinema was seen in Sahara Manoranjan's serial "Malini Iyer". Her charming effortlessness in portraying a comical character with utmost naturality was her true forte, which no other actress has been able to replicate in the Hindi cinema world. With the news of her comeback keeping her in mind many a story has been penned.
The 52nd Filmfare awards function on February 24th, 2007 was a grand occasion when Sridevi staged a stunning performance, 80s medley. The actress, mother of Jhanvi and Khushi (her darling daughters), has maintained herself really well by losing weight akin to the role she essayed in Chandini 17 years ago. Sridevi's ardent fans can now look forward, for in the months to come, the actress is said to make a comeback to movies through a sequel to Mr. India and a Yash Chopra movie featuring Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Abhishek and Aishwarya. The grapevine also goes that her loving husband and Bollywood director, Boney Kapoor is planning something really special for his better half.
Whatever said and done, an actor of her caliber with the innate love and flair for acting can never stay away from the spotlight. The lure to act is too strong to ignore for Madhuri Dixit and Sridevi, the yesteryear queens. Lights, camera, action...here they come to rock Bollywood again...
