She got crowned as Miss India in 2004 and then turned towards Bollywood. After doing super glamorous roles and sizzling item numbers, Tanushree Dutta has become one of the popular actresses of recent times.

During her college days however, Tanushree was quite a brat. "I was quite a crazy kid during my hostel days. I did my schooling in Jhamshedpur, but I completed my High School and College in Pune" informs Tanushree. She still remembers those strict college and hostel rules. "Those were the times when the hostels were very strict and you had to take signs from the local guardians and to go out of the hostels."

The bong beauty was always an active participant in extra-curricular activities in college. "I was always involved in the intercollegiate festivals, like fashion shows etc. My primary motivation to go in college was to be out of college. In school, I had to give 99.9 percent attendance, but in college you tend to get away with all that" confesses Tanushree. She continues, "I was in a very studious college. All the students were merit rankers there. So, one couldn't bunk the classes much. In hostel also, it was difficult to get permissions to go out."

Tanushree was aware of all the hostel rules, but she faced her biggest challenge one day when she had to bend those rules. "I had to go for this fashion show and I wasn't getting the permission. I couldn't tell my parents about this because in those times, they wouldn't have been very happy." She had no other option but to quietly sneak out of her hostel. "I tried to run away from the hostel and I bumped into the superintendent of the hostel" says Tanushree with that panic on her face. "I thought I won't be able to make it. The superintendent was like 'What are you doing here'. I replied 'Nothing, just taking a walk'." Tanushree however, told her the truth and somehow managed to get her signature on the permission letter. "Wow, I can't believe I said that out. These are the stories that even my parents still don't talk about" exclaims Tanushree.

Tanushree Dutta's last release Risk failed at the Box Office. She however has two big releases coming up. One is Raj Kanwar's Raqeeb with Jimmy Shergill, Rahul Khanna and Sharman Joshi. The other film is Subhash Ghai's Good Boy Bad Boy starring Emraan Hashmi and Tusshar Kapoor.
