Love is in the air, roses in full bloom, and whispers of love ringing in every ear, love notes and sweet dreams gentle borne across lands unknown...

Cinema spins dreams and love sagas which are cherished forever in millions of hearts be they onscreen or off screen. The burning onscreen passion sets the audience's hearts' ablaze. Film after film spread the universal message of love - pure and pristine.

Indian cinema has traversed a long journey wherein love stories have always been the rage of the age. Bollywood love tales and the artists who breathe life into those characters are remembered forever for ages to come. Many actors and actresses portray roles epitomizing the spirit of love blazing deep within immortalizing them. Onscreen couples Raj Kapoor - Nargis, Dilip Kumar - Madhubala, Amitabh Bachchan - Rekha, Rishi Kapoor - Neetu, Dharmendra - Hema Malini, Rajesh Khanna - Sharmila Tagore, Govinda - Karishma Kapoor, Aamir Khan and Juhi Chawla, Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol, Abhishek Bachchan - Rani Mukherjee, Salman Khan - Aishwarya Rai, John Abraham - Bipasha Basu have recreated the magic of love.

Visualize a rainy day with raindrops soaked to the skin and lovers gazing at one another with their eyes locked in loving gaze, the image of Raj Kapoor and Nargis sharing an umbrella in Shree 420 flickers across our eyes. Drizzling raindrops, water splashing across and lovers gently holding one another's arms lovingly to the evergreen tune "Pyaar hua ekraar hua..." are indeed sensuous. Raj Kapoor - Nargis, the hit pair went on to do many movies together like Andaaz, Awaara, etc with the master showman's innocence and the leading lady's impeccable beauty enhancing the passions they portrayed onto the screen.

Anarkali and Salim in Mughal-e-Azam have penned a new love epic of sacrifice and love transcending every social barrier. Dilip Kumar and Madhubala enacting these roles brought to the screen the fervour and intensity of love. The pair was ideal in every sense with Dilip Kumar setting the acting standards perfect and Madhubala, the Venus of Indian cinema creating the magic onscreen which has endured every testing tide with protest song of love "Pyaar kiya to darna kya..." The hot pair who had acted in Tarana, Sangdil and Amar was however never to be seen again together though the audience craved for more.

"Mere sapno ki Rani kab ayegi tu..." immortalized by Rajesh Khanna and Sharmila Tagore in Aradhana signified fun filled nokh-jhok and love entwined to every breath. Even death cannot mitigate their love for one another. The duo acted in movies like Amar Prem, Safar, Aavishkar, etc setting the stage for a roller coaster ride of romance laced profusely with fun.
