There's
hardly
anything
that
the
'Enigma
personified'
Shahrukh
Khan
does
and
it
doesn't
make
for
national
headlines.
Well,
the
latest
one
to
his
ever
glowing
and
ever
growing
kitty
is
of
him
being
conferred
the
title
of
'Datuk'
by
the
Governor
of
Malaysia's
southern
Malacca
State.
For
the
uninitiated,
'Datuk'
is
equivalent
of
the
prestigious
British
knighthood.
The
title
just
couldn't
have
come
to
this
man
any
later
as
he
is
nearing
the
grand
gala
release
of
his
film
Rab
Ne
Bana
Di
Jodi.
Even
though
the
title
did
raise
a
few
oppositions
from
the
local
residents
stating
that
it
was
unjust
to
be
conferring
the
title
only
on
SRK,
while
leaving
out
many
deserving
ones!
But
as
they
say
in
Bollywood
"Honi
ko
kaun
taal
sakta
hai",
SRK
became
the
first
of
his
ilk
to
be
conferred
a
Malaysian
title.
Dressed
up
in
a
chic
traditional
black
and
gold
Malay
outfit
(Baju
Melayu
and
samping),
and
headgear,
he
received
the
title
of
'Datuk'
from
the
Governor
of
Malaysia's
southern
Malacca
State,
Mohamad
Khalil
Yaacob.
The
reason
as
to
why
the
Malacca
authorities
chose
SRK
to
be
given
the
title
was
because
six
of
his
movies
were
shot
in
the
historical
State,
thus,
giving
a
boost
to
tourism.
SRK
started
off
his
celluloid
romance
with
Malacca
with
his
film
One
2
Ka
4
(which
co-starred
the
bubbly
Juhi
Chawla).
The
said
city
was
also
recently
named
as
a
heritage
city
by
the
UNESCO.

After
the
grand
ceremony,
SRK
announced
that
he
would
star
in
a
new
movie
My
Name
is
Khan,
that
would
help
spread
the
message
that
Islam
does
not
support
terrorism,
but
is
something
that
would
make
clear
that
Islam
does
not
in
any
which
way
tell
you
to
be
violent.
SRK,
on
his
part
also
furthered
that
"I
think
the
whole
concept
of
jihad,
the
whole
concept
of
warring
needs
to
be
explained
as
Allah
meant
it
to
be
in
the
Koran...
it
is
an
attempt
to
try
and
do
that
in
an
entertaining
way."
One
word
of
advice
from
us
is
that
the
next
time
you
happen
to
see
a
SRK
film,
and
you
see
the
cast
and
credits
reading
'Starring
Datuk
Shahrukh
Khan'
do
not
be
surprised
as,
according
to
the
title,
SRK
will
henceforth
be
addressed
as
Datuk
Shahrukh
Khan.
C'mon,
guys
tell
us
is
there
anything
that
Shahrukh
Khan't!
With
the
kind
of
awards
and
citations
that
this
guy
is
getting,
plus
the
way
he
manages
his
shoots,
commercials,
friends,
and
the
unforgettable
business
acumen-ed
IPL
matches,
we
really
wonder
as
to
if
this
man's
day
really
consist
of
24
hours
or
are
the
rumors
of
his
day
being
28
hours
really
true!
Even
at
the
age
of
43,
SRK
looks
as
fresh
as
a
morning
sunflower
even
as
he
romances
the
debutante
Anushka
Sharma
in
his
film
Rab
Ne
Bana
Di
Jodi!
Can
anyone
just
squeeze
in
and
get
his
secret
out
for
his
ever-glowingly
youthful
skin!
