Eros International releases first look of Aladin

Amidst much glamour and fanfare, Eros International revealed the first look of their forthcoming film Aladin yesterday at Taj Lands End, Bandra.

Mr.Biren Ghose from Eros International, along with Director Sujoy Ghosh and actors Riteish Deshmukh & Jacqueline Fernandez introduced the Aladin promo to the press fraternity, which was followed by a loud & cheerful applause.

The production house also announced a mega tie-up with Godrej Appliances to launch the Godrej-Aladin 'Make A Wish" offer. This is one of the biggest possible consumer promotion schemes in India where 3 major wishes of the Indian consumers could be granted on purchase of Godrej appliances this festive season:

Wish No. 1 - Act in the next Bollywood Blockbuster
Wish No. 2 - Dinner with Amitabh Bachchan
Wish No. 3 - Free Home Appliance

Godrej will also be sharing a part of their revenues from this offer to the 'Make-A-Wish-Foundation".

Starring Amitabh Bachchan as Genius - The Genie, Riteish Deshmukh as Aladin and Sanjay Dutt as 'Ringmaster', Aladin is a contemporary look at the classic fairy tale where Riteish plays the title character. Aladin also marks the debut of Sri Lankan beauty Jacqueline Fernandes who is paired opposite Riteish.

Directed by Sujoy Ghosh, Aladin is the story of a boy who faces ridicule at every stage of his life because he shares his name with the protagonist of the famous fairy-tale. In the film, Aladin is a shy, young man, constantly bullied by a certain gang of boys in his college. He secretly loves his classmate Jasmine (Jacqueline) but never musters the courage to tell her about it.

One day, through a twist of fate, the incredible 'Genius" (Genie) lands up in his life and all hell breaks loose for Aladin! That genie refuses to leave Aladin alone and follows him everywhere, unwilling to leave without granting him 3 wishes!

But there is another side... an ultra-cool and uber-evil magician Ringmaster is using a magic mirror to Google our Aladin. And he wants to kill Aladin, take back the lamp and reclaim his powers (for even Ringmaster was once a genie)…

As Aladin"s 3 wishes run out and the Ringmaster closes in on him, the stage is set for an exciting battle between the forces of good and evil. Packed with fun, music, masti, action and adventure Aladin boasts of a visual scale as never seen before on Indian screen.

The music of the film is composed by talented duo Vishal & Shekhar. Aladin is produced by Eros International in association with Sujoy Ghosh"s production company Boundscript. With the grand canvas and the mounting of the film, Aladin promises to be a visual extravaganza. It is hitting theatres on October 30th.
