What do you expect from a director who has done films like Golmaal and Golmaal Returns? A laugh riot, right? You won"t be disappointed if you are expecting laughter and fun from director Rohit Shetty"s latest offering All The Best, starring Ajay Devgn, Bipasha Basu, Sanjay Dutt, Fardeen Khan and Mugdha Godse. It is a non-stop comedy caused by mistaken identities and goof-ups.
Here goes the story of All The Best: - Veer (Fardeen) is a greedy singer who is always gets extra pocket money from his step-brother Dharam (Sanjay) with the help of his friend Prem (Ajay), a concept car expert. Prem is married to Jhanvi (Bipasha) and Veer is in love with Vidya (Mugdha). The two friends end up in huge debts because of opting for shortcut method to riches.
All hell breaks loose when Dharam visits them. He mistakes Jhanvi to be Veer"s girlfriend. Will the friends be able to pay the debts? The situational comedy that arises out of the circumstances is expected to expose the laughter veins of the viewers.
The highlight of the film is certainly its comic content. Ajay Devgn, who produces the film besides acting, said that it is a clean entertainer sans double meaning dialogues. Bipasha also said that she laughed continuously for two hours when Rohit narrated the script to her.
One of the highlights of the film is its daring stunts and action sequences. For instance, there is a scene where Ajay proposes to Bipasha in a car that has turned upside down. Besides comedy and stunts, it boasts of a song shot for around Rs.6.5 crore.
However, this comic flick almost turned into a tragedy when Karam Ramsay filed a petition against the makers and moved the court to stay its release, alleging that its script is similar to that of his film titled Uncle Samza Karo. However, the Bombay High Court has refused to stay the release of the film, thus making way to create spark this Diwali.
All The Best is releasing the morrow (October 16) along with big movies like Aladin, Blue and Main Aurr Mrs Khanna.
