'Well
begin
is
half
done" goes
a
saying.
There
is
a
good
reason
why
many
filmmakers
don"t
wish
to
read
the
opinion
of
the
critics
but
it
is
something
they
just
can"t
ignore.
Because
reviews
determine
the
opening
of
films
if
not
the
final
outcome.
Unfortunately,
the
much-hyped
film
Aisha
has
got
mixed
response
from
the
critics.
Some
gave
good
reviews
while
others
gave
not
so
favourable
reviews.
Critics
are
of
the
the
opinion
that
it
is
slow
in
the
first
half
which
tests
the
patience
of
the
viewers.
“
Aisha
gets
painfully
slow
in
some
portions.
Besides,
it
lacks
the
depth
of
passion
and
that
could
be
because
the
makers
were
trying
to
make
something
lighter
and
breezier.
Sweeping
the
minor
complaints
aside,
Aisha
is
watchable
for
two
factors
mainly:
Neat
performances,
especially
by
Sonam
Kapoor
and
Amit
Trivedi"s
super
musical
score," wrote
well
known
film
critic
Taran
Adarsh.
“Aisha
holds
appeal
for
the
youth
mainly
and
there"s
a
strong
likelihood
that
this
segment
of
movie-going
audience
will
fall
for
its
charms," he
added.
He
is
all
prase
for
lead
heroine
Sonam
Kapoor
and
other
co-actors
for
their
performances.
Aisha
is
a
modern
day
adaptation
of
the
British
novel,
Emma
by
Jane
Austen.
It
is
about
a
girl
who
thinks
everyone's
business
is
her
business.
She
makes
sure
everyone
acts
according
to
her
dictates.
Then
emerges
a
boy,
who
tries
to
get
her
out
of
the
mess.
Who
succeeds
and
who
fails
form
the
rest
of
the
story.
The
film
is
produced
by
Sonam's
sister
Rhea
Kapoor
and
directed
by
Rajshree
Ojha
and
features
actors
like
Abhay
Deol,
Cyrus
Sahukar,
Ira
Dubey
and
Amrita
Puri.
It
has
hit
the
theatres
yesterday,
August
6.
