Bollywood
filmmakers
have
tried
many
genres
of
films
over
the
years
but
it
is
'love
story" that
has
stood
the
test
of
time.
It
still
works
at
the
box
office
as
it
did
decades
ago.
Ironically,
Karan
Johar,
the
man
behind
many
hit
films
based
on
love,
is
producing
I
Hate
Luv
Storys
along
with
Ronnie
Screwvala's
UTV
Motion
Pictures.
This
has
created
lots
of
curiosity
among
the
film
buffs.
I
Hate
Luv
Storys
is
a
romantic
comedy
directed
by
debutante
Punit
Malhotra.
It
is
about
a
man
who
hates
love
stories
like
no
one
else.
However,
he
encounters
a
girl
who
loves
love
stories
and
lives
a
blissful
and
dreamy
life.
Their
characters
contrast
like
fire
and
water.
Will
they
ever
fall
in
love?
You
will
have
to
watch
the
film
to
know
it.
One
of
the
highlights
of
the
film
is
certainly
the
fresh
pair
of
Imran
Khan
and
Sonam
Kapoor.
Both
the
actors
are
relatively
new
to
film
industry
with
only
a
few
films
in
their
kitty
yet
they
are
in
great
demand.
Imran"s
debut
film
Jaane
Tu
Ya
Jaane
Na
was
a
success
but
his
subsequent
films
failed
terribly.
Sonam
also
had
a
dream
start
with
Sanjay
Leela
Bhansali"s
Saawariya
but
it
stumbled
at
the
box
office.
Her
second
film
Delhi-6
also
was
a
flop.
So,
I
Hate
Luv
Storys
pair
is
under
immense
pressure
to
deliver
the
goods
this
time
around.
It
looks
like
the
film
has
all
the
elements
of
a
hit
film
if
we
are
to
go
by
its
trailers.
The
cast
of
the
film
has
been
promoting
it
like
never
before
to
ensure
a
good
opening
but
sans
any
controversy
or
cheap
publicity.
Sonam
was
earlier
linked
to
the
director
of
the
film
Punit
Malhotra
but
it
died
down
as
the
film
approaches
its
release
date.
The
hype
around
the
film
has
been
so
far
so
good
but
its
true
colour
will
come
out
only
when
it
hits
the
theatres
tomorrow,
June
2.
Watch
out
for
this
romcom!
