The hottest topic in Bollywood today is Aamir Khan"s home production Peepli Live. It is a small-budget film with no stars but is expected to turn a money spinner.
The production cost of the film is said to be just Rs.10 crore but its makers have earned Rs.14 crore even before its release. It is reported that the satellite broadcasting rights of the film has been sold to Colors for Rs.10 crore and music rights to T-Series for Rs.4 crore.
The film is expected to have good opening with the critics going gaga over it. The makers of the film are so confident of their product that they held its preview days before its release, very much unlike other Bollywood films that usually hold screening just a day before the release.
Peepli Live, directed by debutante Anusha Rizvi, features Omkar Das Manikpuri, Raghuveer Yadav, Malaika Shenoy, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Shalini Vatsa, Farrukh Jaffer and Vishal O Sharma in the lead roles. It will be released in 700 screens worldwide, 600 theatres in India and 100 overseas.
Watch out for this money spinner, which is releasing tomorrow, August 13.
