Sonam's journey from Saawariya to Aisha

By By Raymond Ronamai

Her journey was not as smooth as expected. She stumbled at the very outset in spite of being a star kid but she never gave up her dream. Hard work doesn't go in vain. Today, she is one of the hottest and most-sought-after actresses in Bollywood. Well, we are talking about Sonam Kapoor, daughter of veteran actor Anil Kapoor.

Sonam made a dream debut through Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Saawariya but it failed terribly at the box office. She again took up Delhi-6. It also failed in spite of good publicity and hype around it. But she wasn't disheartened. Rather, she came out stronger. It maybe worth mentioning that she got lots of critical accolades for her performances in her first two films though they flopped.

However, the stupendous success of her third film I Hate Luv Storys did wonders to her career in Bollywood. Today, she is one of the most-demanded heroines in Bollywood. And just barely a month into the release of her first hit I Hate Luv Storys, her next film Aisha is all set for release this Friday, August 6.

Now, all eyes are on Aisha, where Sonam acts with Abhay Deol, nephew of Dharmendra. It looks like this film will also do well, as the hype around it has been great. Anil Kapoor and his daughter Rhea Kapoor produce the film and Rajshree Ojha directs it.

Will Sonam succeed this time around? Only time can tell this!
