Check out the official first look of actor Hrithik Roshan in the remake of the 1990s film Agneepath. The film will hit the theatres on 13th January 2012, informed the producer of the film Karan Johar. Actor Hrithik will reprise Amitabh Bachchan's iconic role Vijay Dinanath Chauhan in the coming Agneepath.
Actress Priyanka Chopra will be the female lead, while the character played by Mithun Chakraborty in the original has not found place in the remake. Sanjay Dutt would play the villain's role which was played by Danny Denzongpa in the original. Dutt has shaved his head and has bulked up to look deadly in the film.
Veteran Rishi Kapoor too will be seen in a negative role. Directed by Karan Malhotra, the remake is reportedly radically different from the original film. Hrithik's look in the film was revealed on July 5 when Karan Johar officially posted the link to the Agneepath's facebook page on twitter.
The original Agneepath was directed by Mukul Anand. It starred Amitabh Bachchan, Mithun Chakraborty, Madhavi, Rohini Hattangadi and Danny Denzongpa and was produced by Yash Johar, Karan's late father. The film failed at the Box-Office, but Bachchan's performance as Vijay Dinanath Chauhaan was well appreciated by people. He also won national award for Best Actor for the film.
