Madhuri Dixit shows off her eternal appeal on Vogue

The August edition of the Vogue magazine present the Queen of the 90's, an iconic dancer and natural actor, Madhuri Dixit. The magazine talks about Madhuri's eternal appeal and that smile, which has made the entire nation crazy. This timeless beauty goes on to prove that fashion has no age limit.

The actress has bee photographed by Prasad Naik and styled by Anaita Shroff Adajania. Madhuri is wearing looks from Jenny Packham and Andrew Gn. In an interview with Vogue, the actress who was once the shinning star of Bollywood and later left the glamour to behind to lead a family life says that she had never taken her starry status seriously. “I have never been starry or taken my star status seriously. I like being in front of the camera. Everything else - the fame, the flashbulbs- those are just peripherals that doesn't matter. It's baggage and I don't like to carry baggages."


The actress insists that as soon as the camera's were switched off she was always that normal girl who has usual dreams of getting married, having kids, taking them to school, doing their homework etc. "I was very clear in my head. For me glamour is not everything. There is life outside films," expresses Madhuri Dixit.

Though the actress has surpassed the age of becoming the leading ladies of Bollywood films, Madhuri is too attractive to play a mother. The actress says that she is ready to do experiments as long as the role excites her. But alas the industry has stopped writing stories for 40 plus women. Talking more about the rumours that did the round of tinsel town, the actress reveals that she is happy doing small small things, be its taking taekwondo classes with the boys back in Denver. The actress believes that keeping herself fit is a part of the responsibility as an actor.

Madhuri believes in natural care of beauty and gracefully growing old. "I'm going to try and do what is required to maintain my looks, but I'm not going to go to extremes and try and reverse everything. I believe in aging gracefully," she says.
