Preity Zinta, Kareena Kapoor - 'cold war' comes to an end

Preity Zinta has gone on record congratulating Kareena Kapoor for her performance in Bodyguard opposite Salman Khan. Kareena too complimented Preity on her sweet and genuine nature. This is likely to ease out almost a decade of 'cold-war' between Preity Zinta and Kareena Kapoor.

After watching Bodyguard at a special screening of the film at YRF studios, Preity Zinta was all praises for the two actors. She posted on Twitter, Just saw BODYGUARD! Salman U n Kareena Rock! Its FAB & the action is AMAZING ! All da best. This one is full Paisa Vasool!"

When Kareena was contacted by a leading newspaper, she replied that she was extremely flattered and added that Preity was a genuinely sweet person who always spoke her mind.

The rivalry between Kareena Kapoor and Preity Zinta began in those days when Bebo had just made an entry in Bollywood. Preity had apparently made a negative comment on the new list of actresses in the industry, which then also included Kareena. This reportedly did not go down too well with Kareena. Later, Preity Zinta took up the lead role in Karan Johar's Kal Ho Na Ho which was initially offered to Kareena Kapoor. The film went on to become a super hit and their rivalry intensified.

The tension between the gorgeous actresses was also evident on Karan Johar's show 'Koffee with Karan'. While Preity commented that Kareena would acknowledge her only in Karan's presence, Kareena also made it obvious that she was not very attached to Preity.

Anyway, all that is a story of the past. This patch up clearly indicates that in Bollywood, there are no true enemies or true friends.
