Ranbir Kapoor agrees to be the butt of jokes

Ranbir Kapoor is making girls go weak in their knees all over again. His self-depreciating act in a recently conducted awards ceremony has not just managed to bring the house down but has also ensured that his female fan following only grows further. Labelled as being a womanizer and a two-timer, Ranbir waited for a while before making his presence felt all over again. And when he did that, it was in style.

Says a fellow actor, "Ranbir had to come out one day or the other. He could have cut a sob story, defended all the accusations against him and told the world his point of view. However that would have only ignited the fire further as it would have resulted in counter arguments and further mud sledging. Belonging to the first family of Bollywood that boasts of a certain class for itself, it was the last thing that he would have done. He only decided to lie low, let the dust settle down (albeit that didn't quite happen) and open up when the time was ripe."

This is where the awards ceremonies came in handy as Ranbir decided to take the joke on himself. Instead of sulking away in a corner or giving out detailed interviews (which would have naturally looked opinionated), Ranbir decided to join all the fun.

Resultantly, Ranbir gave his nod to the event organisers and enjoyed a funny script to be written around him and friend Imran Khan where he stayed on to be the butt of jokes. With this frank conduct, Ranbir has only ended up winning more fans. Not to mention his fair share of fun as well!
