Ranbir
Kapoor
has
been
roped
in
as
the
youth
leader
of
the
Mijwan
Welfare
Society
(MWS),
an
NGO
in
Azamgarh
UP,
founded
by
the
late
Kaifi
Azmi
and
now
being
run
by
veteran
Shabana
Azmi.
Shabana
said
that
she
appreciates
Ranbir's
efforts
by
coming
on
board
for
the
cause.
Ranbir
was
invited
by
Namrata
Goel,
the
youth
president
of
MWS
NGO.
When
the
actor
visited
the
NGO,
he
learnt
that
a
girl
child
in
the
NGO
is
given
complete
education
and
employment
training
in
just
Rs.
6000
in
a
year,
which
he
probably
blows
up
in
one
outing
with
his
friends.
Ranbir
very
much
like
his
forefathers
went
ahead
and
joined
the
NGO
for
the
better
cause.
The
actor
thanked
his
parents
for
bringing
up
him
and
his
sister
Riddhima
equally.
This
is
the
reason
why
today
he
respects
women
a
lot
and
wants
that
all
the
girls
in
India
should
get
an
edge
to
make
up
for
all
the
years
of
being
treated
secondary
by
their
families.
Ranbir
pleas
for
giving
the
girl
child
an
equal
opportunity.
He
said
that
today's
girl
child
is
tomorrow's
empowered
woman.
He
added
that
he
is
honoured
to
be
a
part
of
the
Mijwan
Welfare
Society
as
a
youth
leader,
which
is
working
to
transform
the
lives
of
the
girls
living
in
the
rural
part
of
India.
Ranbir
on
this
International
Women's
Day
pleaded
to
the
people
to
donate
Rs.
6000
a
year
and
give
a
girl
child
the
gift
of
education,
which
will
result
towards
and
empowered
India.
