Chitrangada Singh, who did an item song in Shirish Kunder's Joker said that her look in the item dance performance 'Kaafirana' is inspired by Madhuri Dixit's look in the song 'Humko aajkal hai' from Sailaab.

'Humko aajkal hai' was one of the biggest hit songs in 1980's. Madhuri Dixit's look and performance was outstanding in the song 'Humko aajkal hai'. In fact, the song continues to be a rage even today.

Speaking about her item song in Joker at the unveiling of the cover page of men's magazine FHM, featuring her, Chitrangada Singh said that she'd rather call it a dance performance than an item song.

Chitrangada further said that the song, 'Kaafirana' is a very rustic song with the 1980s look. The actress further added that the look she has in the item dance number in Joker is inspired by that of Madhuri's look in the song from Sailaab and has a bit of 'laavni' in it.
