Cocktail gets mixed reviews from critics

Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone starrer Cocktail, directed by Homi Adajania, is a colourful and entertaining mix of three refreshingly different characters. The look, peppy music and the feel-good factor in the movie have impressed many, but it is also disappointing at times. Cocktail has received mixed reviews from the critics. Cocktail has been one of the much-awaited movies of the season. Here's what the film critics has to say:

Bollywood Hungama - Taran Adarsh's Rating: 3

COCKTAIL has a fascinating first half, charismatic performances, harmonious music and the trendy look and styling as its aces, but the second half is not as tempting or intoxicating as the first hour. It pales when compared to the attention-grabbing first hour.

Rediff - Raja Sen's Rating: 2

Cocktail has a handful of moments and a few genuine sparks, but finally crashes and burns so spectacularly that it's hard to focus on the positives. We must thank it, thus, for Diana Penty.

Oneindia Rating: 3

Cocktail is colourful, fascinating and attention-grabbing. Though the movie suffers a few loopholes, but, you definitely can't ignore the threesome magic of Saif-Dippy-Diana.

Zee News Rating: 3

'Cocktail' will not disappoint you as it has some shades of the former. The storyline of the movie is gripping and will keep you hooked and booked.

Koimoi Rating: 2.5

Cocktail is a nice and enjoyable movie for the dialogues, songs and performances. But the second half is a real drag.

NDTV: Saibal Chatterjee's Rating: 3

Cocktail has just the right mix of fizz and flavour to allow the occasional and inevitable crinkles of triteness to flow well below the surface. It is definitely worth a visit to the multiplex.

The Times of India:

Cocktail, basically, is the same prose with new grammar.
